Because you are irrational.
You base your beliefs on a two thousand year old book that condones slavery, prohibits the wearing of cloth made of more than one string, won't allow women to be outside while menstruating, etc.
I have no problem with you living your life as a Christian, but don't try and force it on everyone else. "The meek shall inherit the earth." Moreover, I frequently see you writing hateful responses, so I don't see how that is Christian.
You are little different than an Islamist, just on the other side of the fence.

Ignorance and stereotypes and an unmerited sense of superiority - the same reason for all irrational prejudice.
And I'm far from being an Evangelical Christian myself, (some would question whether I'm a Christian at all! LOL!) but the irrational attacks and ignorant prejudice shown against them is loathsome.

It's not "evangelicals" so much as the overly-flamboyant "charismatic" types who just insist on making more public displays of their faith and joy. I mean, to each his own, but why does someone else's faith/beliefs/joy have to be any more "public" than the jerk talking loudly into his cell phone about his recent hemorrhoid surgery?
God is omniscient; he can read your thoughts. Talk to him in private; I don't have to be part of the reindeer games.
And what's with the "arm raising" thing? Is that just sort of (as the French say) "di rigour" for charismatics, like the "peace-out" move of rappers?
Sorry to rain on anyone's parade; I just don't see the need for such outward displays. The Bible does talk about that, too.

It's because they are so intolerant of any other spiritual choice. To say that ONLY Christians will go to heaven is insulting, arrogant and personally offensive. God loves all people equally. Why can't you?

Well, first off, you can't prove God's existence. It is a matter of faith. I have a moral problem with faith, it's intangible and it's as likely to be correct as it is to be incorrect. The other problems that society has against any religious person are that they feel compelled to enforce their doctrine of morality upon everyone else (not everyone of them do that, but the loudest ones do). Another problem is that politicians can cater to that crowd to gain votes. I believe that the morality of all religions are well placed, and I try to follow their ideals, but you don't need religion to have good morality.

I am not sure. If someone called you those things it probably has to do with your personality and not your spirituality.
