I like Transmogrifier - the name says it all

The duplicator 1.0 (before the ethic-o-meter was put on)...the looks on Calvin and Hobbes' faces when they found that their duplicate made duplicates was priceless.

The transmogrifier was very cool, especially when he made a gun out of it and they kept zapping each other back and forth into so many different forms that neither of them could remember which one they had started out as! But that was the gun version, not the box.
I’ll have to vote for the duplicator. (See my answer to the previous question, coolest Calvin alter ego, for my reasons.)

all great.. of course, u can't beat the story line w/ the Duplicator, in which calvin is trying to beat up calvin for making susie mad... and then he goes "EEP! i had a bad thought!" and vanishes!!!

The transmogrofier gimmick was one of the funniest i read in the comic.
