President Saddam Hussein was the victim of a contrived kangaroo court and political murder by the USA.
The whole Iraq debacle was based on illegality and against the UN charter and lies by Powell and others in the Bush administration .
Iraq was invaded based on allegation of having WMD not proven and now proven to be untrue.
Bush and Blair should be put on trail in Iraq and let the Iraqi's judge them and take the punishment, they will scream for mercy all the way to the gallows unlike President Saddam Hussein.

What struck me was the speed of his court case...other people like him go in and out of courts for years (Pinoche for instance).
This all seemed very rushed for such an important case.
I think that it was rushed so that other things did not come to light...like a certain other countries real reasons for evading Iraq?
Or because they did not want other questions to be asked or answerd.
The man was evil...but he did not hide it unlike another leader I could name.
He should have been given the same rights as any other individual about to be hung.

Saddam received a fair trial and was sentenced to death by a group of his peers.
It is in no way our business when they killed him or how they killed him or THAT they killed him.
He wasn't on trial in the U.S. or Britain. He was on trial in Iraq.
That said. He got what he had coming to him and he died with 1000% more dignity and respect then the thousands that he brutally murdered.

They did it wrong on so many levels.
They could've tried him in the international court of law, but they didn't.
They could've kept him alive pending other cases so that victims of his other alleged crimes can have their days in court, but they didn't.
They could have chosen any day other than Eid-ul-Adha, but they didn't.
They could have secured the scene of the execution and conducted it with dignity, but they didn't.
Now he's strangely seen as a martyr by some and his death fuels even more violence.
