Humans have a tendency to be suspicious of people and things with which they aren't familiar. It makes them uncomfortable because it involves an aspect of uncertainty. Fortunately, most people are able to grow beyond such prejudices and recognize that people are people.

To be honest, I've never thought that inter-racial relationships were for me personally, but I've come to realize that they are for other people. In fact, I have a few younger cousins who are half hispanic and half Caucasian(white). So, it really doesn't bother me ,personally, to see an inter-racial couple together. I just don't see myself in that kind of a relationship.

I think the reason why other people have a problem with it is because it's how they were raised. They were taught that you're supposed to stick with your own race. I think it's wrong! What difference does it really make what race, religion, or sex a person is? Love is love. If you're happy in your relationship don't worry about what other people think. Just because it's not something they would do doesn't mean that other people can't do it.

Listen I am a Black man who has dated White woman since I had my first girl friend. Judgmental people often don't judge their selves because they are afraid of what theywill find within, so they judge others with no uderstanding or compassion. Understanding and compassion is lacking in todays world. Those that choose to judge you are not worthy to judge you. Keep in mind that you and what you believe in is your's to beleive in alone. Stand for what you beleive and don't mind the ones with and I.Q. of 4.

The sure do it.

It's funny though. Here in the south you see a lot more of it and it gets noticed less than in ultra-liberal California. I dated a black lady in California and got no end of flack about it. Here. most people just let it go by. I think many liberals are only liberal in speech but when it comes right down to it they only want others to be almost as equal.

Their parents taught them that it is not acceptable dating practice. The parents learned it from their parents and for most of America's history that has been the norm. It is up to us to change that by teaching our kids that people are just people no matter what color or religion or sexual preference they have and should be judged only by their deeds.

I don't know what country you are from, but it sounds to me like you must be from the US. This is a problem of endemic racism in that country. I am origianally a Canadian of British (white) descent (now also a Mexican citizen) married to a Mexican wife for the past 23 year. we lived for 10 years in Canada and now 13 years in Mexico, the ONLY racist comments and remarks I have ever suffered about myself and my family have come while visiting the United States.

I have had to endure: "How COULD you live in Mexico?" "Aren't you worried that your son will become a Mexican?" "YOU couldn't possibly be Mexican!" and my all time favorite: "While I personally am not against mixed marriages myself, its the children who suffer...." (My son is fluently biligual, looks, talks and acts perfectly Canadian in Canada and perfectly Mexican in Mexico, he has Canadian citizenship because of me, Mexican citizenship from his mother and British citizenship "by decent" because of his grandfather, he is currently also studying French and Chinese and wants to learn Italian and Portuguese in the future. He plans to attend Cambridge University when he is ready and when he graduates will be able to live and work easily in Canada, the US, Mexico, Latin America, the British Commonwealth as well as the European Union. Perhaps some racist American could explain to me just how he is going to "suffer" ........ oh, oh, I get it, maybe he's going to "suffer" like Tiger Woods or Senator Obama.....)

My answer to the ignorant woman who commented "While I personally am not against mixed marriages myself, its the children who suffer...." was simple. "Madam, the ONLY reason that these children might suffer, is because of people like YOU!"

ALL the great and powerful races in Man's history have been formed from racial mixes originally, ALL of them! Don't take any crap from anybody, just let the bastards have it, flame thier butts! Not only is it no ones business but your own, but in reality by dating members of other races you are doing YOUR bit to combat the evil and sickness of racism and making your own society just that much more tolerant and better........

(If "whites" don't like it, you could just suggest they go back to Europe (probably Germany) and to the "blacks" who don't like it, you could suggest they return to Africa, although in today's new "global world" even that might not do the racist bastards much good either.....)

Because dating a black person may be worse or almost as bad as beastiality in some circles.

Do you feel bad about your mate??? If not then they can all kiss off.
