I have an interview at 4pm tomorrow. It is in a bad section of a city (not from this city). I would like to reschedule for another day at a earlier time. I would hate to get lost on my way home since by then it will be dark. The secretary told me this is the time her supervisor wanted to meet with me on Wednesday.
If I have to go at 4pm I may just skip this job opportunity. Employers use to ask you about several interview times, now they just tell you when to come for the interview-which is obnoxious.

Jobs usually aren't scheduled around our time. Feel lucky that you are getting a chance at a job.

Obnoxious? Remember the old saying don't bit the hand that feeds you?

Why don't you take someone along that knows the area so you can come and go more comfortably at that time of the day.

Then on the other hand there are plenty of jobs around to be had so you could just go for something else.

Would it matter since I believe that you will be working there if you do get the job?

Don't think you can tell your boss that you can't do overtime and you need to leave the office at 3pm everyday right?

Maybe you could get a friend to accompany you in exchange for a dinner?

you could call and ask if they can rescedule but it would probably not be a good first impression. just make sure you have good directions to and from the place and you should be fine getting home without getting lost.
