Well, i have a long sword and it works pretty good for me

Short swords. Those with long swords are just trying to over-compensate for a small ... staff. Short swords are cute, cuddly, easy to handle, fit in small tight spaces & get the job done!

The inbetween sword. Because if its to long then it will go to deep and you may not want to cause that much damage. But if its to short then it wont go deep enough and not cause any damage at all. And a little damage is a good thing....

Long sword, as long as it's one handed......improves the striking distance but still leaves an arm open for a shield.
