Just knowing me I would make his Valentine's Gift an all day thing. You can start by cooking him breakfast in the morning, and having him wake up to a gift, like a balloon or card. Then, if he's at work that day, have lunch delivered to his job with flowers. By the time the evening hits, you should have a home cooked meal on the table, candles and music blazing. If possible, have some type of gift basket that combines his interests, like that promise ring, a gift card to some preppy place (lol), maybe something that pertains to hunting. This shows you know and care about what he likes. Of course, if you guys are physically intimate, the night wouldn't be complete without nookie. But don't make it the same old sex. Look up some new positions or techniques and blow his mind.

Well, if you can't buy him something like a video game, or a gun, shirts that say something funny, or two movie tickets to something that he would want to see (monster trucks), then here is a kooky idea.
Find some string, some candles, postcards, a blindfold, a flower/feather, some soft rope and your clothes, tie the string from the front door to the bedroom, with your clothes tied to the string one by one, with candles around and cute little jokes on the postcards. Then when he gets to the room, he sees you lying on the bed, naked and holding these things, and you let me know that he is in for an entire night passion, romance, and wild hot crazy supertime porno sex.

a guy likes personal mementos so he can show them off to friends. however he doesn't necessarily like to show off sapphire rings and heart shaped pendants. you say the dude likes to hunt? how bout you get him a necklace with a bullet on it and have something simple engraved into it. you can tell him to always wear it while hunting to bring him good luck. he may even extend it to wearing it everyday if it isnt too cumbersome. maybe some personalized dog tages could work as well. manly jewlery can be picked up in army surplus stores, trophey stores, and even certain vintage clothing stores.
please for the love of guys everywhere, do not get him a snow globe.

Try starting a daily Journal with him.
I have done this and it is great, we each right our feelings down into it, then give it back to the other.
Its so romantic its like having all your love letters in one spot.
You can also make a CD of all the songs you have shared over the past two years.
Good Luck

How about a a weekend at a hunting lodge? If it is a nice one, you may want to go too. That way he can go hunting during the day and you can prep for the romantic evenings. If there is a fireplace, that is a bonus! Don't forget the wine!

Have you ever checked out the site www.mymms.com? You can personalize the M&M candies. You could get red and white ones and put little messages to him on them, or both your names, or whatever. It's really cute and different.
