Two weeks ago my account with match.com was abruptly terminated with a brief statement that I had violated their terms of service.

When I requested an explanation, they said that I should obtain a subpoena and mail/fax it to them.

How do I obtain a subpoena?

Get a lawyer to sue, and then issue a subpoena.

Doesn't sound like it's worth your time though. Just filing a lawsuit can cost a few hundred bucks in fees. Not to mention the cost of the lawyer.

you have to speak to a lawyer. just find a cheap one and spend 100 bucks on a 1-hour consultation. i know this seems annoying, but it is the easiest way to obtain one. he (or she) can do it on your behalf.

contact the attorney general in your state. i don't see why it would worry you though
