It's a start. To become a doctor, you need your bachelors first to get into med school. To get into college, you realistically need to have either a high school diploma or a GED.

You absolutely can. Your GED may effect what colleges you can get into for those courses, but you can still be an OB/GYN. There is nothing stopping you, but you do have to take the college courses and complete a residency just like the rest of them. Good luck!!

High School or an GED is only a stepping stone to Higher Education. You can become anything as long as you can dream, and strive.
Its a Doctors Degree you need.
Good Luck

Your GED, followed by 4 years of pre-med undergraduate work, 2 years of medical school, 1 year of medical specialty training, and 3 years of residency at a teaching hospital. Sure ... anyone can do that!
P.S.: I forgot to mention the 10's of thousands of dollars in student loan money you have to get to even start the process ... unless you're independently wealthy!

Do well in college. My friend got his GED went to a two year community college and transferred to a good 4 year state college. He did real well in college and is going to med school. Apply yourself. Kids make mistakes when their young; admission officers understand that; they ask: "What have you done lately?" They look for the non-traditional student and a diverse student body. Not many people with a GED go to med school; that sounds diverse to me.

The GED is the equivalency degree, so it is, as it says, equal to the high school degree. It will not prevent you from admittance to an accredited college, so you can go on and become anything you are qualified to become if you put in the hard work.

Once you get your GED, you can start medical school directly if you go to a foreign medical school, then after that start your residency in OB/GYN.

Not a GED alone. You need to go to college or university first.
