They can't stop him, but they can try to minimize the damage by using a 4-3 front with man to man coverage. If they blitz, Rivers could pick it up and just throw it down the field to an open receiver or tight end, or maybe Tomlinson or Turner coming out of the backfield. Teams don't only have to contend with Tomlinson, but Turner as well, who could be starting for at least half the teams in the NFL. If I were Bill, I would try to prevent him from going outside, where he can make a cut, and bust it for a long gain, or even a touchdown against a linebacker or defensive back. Make him run up the middle, where the run coverage can
have a chance to contain him, and he can get stuffed by the
defensive linemen, linebackers or safeties.

They're going to go 8 in the box, probably bring some run blitzes early. Rivers will just pick them apart early (bringing 8 will leave Gates single covered which is suicide), then L.T. will break them later in the game (he always does, especially against the Pats). It's going to be ugly, the Pats don't have the personell to stop the Chargers offense.

Nothing, thats just it, he's the best in history. Just accept it, Pats aren't that good this year. When the game is still in reach late in the 3rd quarter against the wild card team, you aren't that good. San Diego 42 New England 26.
