Yes! (And congrats!) Our son didn't get his first tooth until he was just over 12 months old. While our daughter has a tooth at 9 months. But, you should start with a finger brush first with some of the children's flavored toothpaste to get her used to the idea. Then, move on to using a small children's toothbrush. But, be diligent! Our son loves having his teeth brushed! Have fun! :-)

Our daughter just turned a year old. She's had two teeth for a couple of months now. We just saw her pediatrician yesterday who said that her teeth will be in on their own time and not to worry at all.

Now, brushing... once our daughter's teeth broke through her gums, we started wiping her mouth with a wet cloth... no toothpaste or anything, just a wet cloth. Right now, we use a baby/toddler toothbrush (made by Gerber) that has a nice thick handle. I brush her teeth, gums and tongue, rinse off the toothbrush and let her try it for a few minutes.

Definitely start her with good brushing habits now! If you make it fun, and make it part of her regular routine, you may not have to deal with the problems that some parents do when trying to get their older children to brush. (That's our hope, at least.)

Once a tooth comes in, it is a good idea to clean it. My daughter is 17 months and had 10 teeth by the time she was one. I started brushing them the minute they started coming it. Now when I say its time to brush our teeth she runs to the bathroom and waits for her toothbrush, and does just what her big sister does, brushing her tongue, then spitting in the toilet.

A gum cleaner is a good start, and it is soothing to the sore gums where the teeth are coming in.

My oldest who is 6 had 12 teeth before she was 9 months. Each child gets teeth at different times, so don't worry to much about it. If you have a real concern talk to her doc at her 1yr check-up.

She should get her other 2 soon. I know all of mine pretty much got their top 2 and bottom 2 within weeks of each other. My daughter though has only had her 4 teeth for like 3 months now.

I had a gum cleaner for my daughter that I would clean her gums with. Since she has teeth now, I just take a super soft baby toothbrush and just brush them with water. As long as she has 2 teeth I would start that now.

my daughter will be 1 on feb. 28 so shes 10.5 months old she has 9 teeth. Every child is different though, I wouldn't worry so much about it. I started the brushing habit with my daughter about 2 months ago she loves it, eveytime she sees somebody brushing there teeth she has to get her tooth brush, If your daughter isn't interested in doing it her self I would get the Gerber tooth cleaner it come with all little thing that you do it your self and if shes teething it helps massage her gums..

they come in a different times. theres no set age where they all just pop in. my daughter is still waiting on her k-9 and she's 19 months old. she's only been trying to get them since thanksgiving. so calm down they'll come and then she'll be biting the hell out of you. start brushing her teeth now so she gets used to it and when you take her for her first dentist appointment she's used to someone playing with her teeth and gums.

Her teeth are fine she will get more soon. Dont use floride tooth past on her though until she is a few years older, they make good tooth and gum clenser wich i actually do use right now with a very very soft brush . it has no floride and is safe to swallo but it cleans all the milk and stuff that builds up on the teeth gums and tounge.

You can start brushing to get her use to it, but just use water or you can buy baby toothpaste. I started brushing as soon as the teeth popped out. My doctor told me that the later they get teeth the healthier they will be because of bottles, sippy cups and the way they snack. Not as much sugar sitting on them.
