In America you have prom parties, well what do we call a party like that here in England where we have to wear a ball gown?
Only i'm going to organise one for my birthday. Oh and if you know any good websites where they have pics of how the room is set out and some pics of ball gowns i would very much appreciate it!

it is an American thing that we have started to copy. my daughter is leaving school this year, and their school has a prom night. the children get to choose the venue in this case their going to sefton park in Liverpool. it cost about £40 a head and they get loads of stuff for that like a meal, a disco, photos etc. all the girls wear cocktail dresses and the boys wear suits shes very excited about it. ask your school if they do anything like this and ask where they take place. have a good birthday x

yeah they have proms in america but they have them here too. check out the link bellow they have got some sick dresses! or go to google and type in ball gowns under the images tab , but i suggest you check out the link first. gud luck !

we have proms! well at my school anyway. but if you want it to sound very english you could call it a ball..
