Lots of people wanted that to happen, and as it turned out they both SUCKED. We would not have a true National Champion. I think that the SEC champion should automaticly go to the National Championship game, regardless of record!

Yes it would have been pathetic. Trouble is no one would have known. OSU or Michigan fans would have gone around talking about how great there team was without ever having to prove it against other conferences.

No the SEC should not go straight to the title but they should maybe take there two best teams to a mini playoff system. Take the top teams and put them in a playoff. It would be great for the sport and take the debates out of it.

I remember that the announcers in the Ohio State-Michigan game stated that "Is there any doubt that the two best teams in college football are on this field today?" Of course, all teams are subject to a bad game. However, when you consider that Arkansas gave Florida a good game and Wisconsin beat Arkansas and Penn State beat Tennessee who knows what champion a tournament might produce? The argument would be--What teams belong in the playoffs?

The problem with that is...... It would have been a GREAT GAME, yes they both sucked, but everybody would have thought it was because of great defense. Nobody would realize that no both teams are doing terrible! It is just and fair that there was no rematch, but if their were nobody would know the difference it would have been a tough fought low scoring game which no team would deserve to win!

I am sorry for my teams performance in the Rose Bowl! We should have let Wisconsin play for us!

I agree. The SEC is the dominant conference in college sports today. The entire Big Ten (which seems to have problems even counting how many members they have) should be reassigned to Division II athletics.

Big ten do not exist. It would be nice to see UNLV vs OSU
