I am looking for a company that will hire a car to me (I am 20). I need to hire a car desperately as my car has broken down!!

Avis use to but it had to be booked through a travel agent.i use to do this when i was 20 (that was a few years ago). Alternatively try taking your car to a garage that offers a courtesy car service

Nearly all of the major car rental companies, eg Hertz, Avis, Alamo will only rent to people over the age of 21 in the UK. Even then you will find a large under age driver fee to be paid if you are under 25.
Your best bet will be the old fashioned yellow pages. Trying ringing smaller local companies who might be more flexible on the insurance

You have to be over 25 to rent a car from the well known car rental companies. Some rent to you if you are over 23 but the surcharge is expensive as it is on a daily rate. Your best option would be to try a local company. You are wasting your time with national/worldwide companies.

Try avis, Hertz, Easycar. I know they do small engine cars so they may hire to you.

not for under 25 insurance purposes trust me had exactly same problem

hertz do.. although they do slap a huge premium ontop
