I mean especially right after a bath and they smell so good and look at you so innocently...I think it's the closest thing we have to holding an angel.

That reminds me of a poem I had when my 14 yr old was a baby thought I'd share:
Cleaning and scrubing can wait til tomorrow, for babies grow up, we've learned to our sorrow. So quiet down cobwebs, dust go to sleep I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.

Yes, there is something sweeter, but not by much. The first time your baby toddles up to you, holds out his arms for a hug, kisses you and says "I love you". That wins by just a little bit in my book, because it's an independent expression, it's their own intiative.

That is the best thing to having a child. And it keeps a special bond between mother and child. I wish mine werent so big Id still rock them.

Amen!! I miss having babies. My boys are 7 and 5 now. I really don't get to hold them alot now....they are too big for that. Babies are the best thing!!

the only thing better in the world is hearing them laugh- that real laugh they get around 6 months- angels singing...

Yes. A dog.

When the dog crys you can kick it outside for the night, a baby you have to deal with.

A dog you can feed once a day and you don''t have to burp him.

I AGREE TOTALLY, WHEN IM ROCKING WITH MY DAUGHTER SHES ALMOST 16 MONTHS WE SIT IN THE CHAIR AND WATCH A CARTOON EVERY NIGHT, AND RIGHT BEFORE SHE GOES TO SLEEP SHE LOOKS UP AT ME AND SAYS "MOMMY" AND I LOOK AT HER AND SHE GIVES ME A KISS AND SAYS "NITE NITE" AND THEN GOES TO SLEEP, I LOVE IT, I LOOK FORWARD TO IT EVERY NIGHT.
