If that someone is close to your heart you can just easily say "Aitai yo!" If you like in much formal way, "Aitai desu yo! or Aitai desu ne!"

If you want to be more sweet...Say "Totemo aitai desu yo...anatano koto wasuremasen..." It means that I miss you so much and I cant forget you!"

Good Luck!!!

"ai-tai desu" (会いたいです) is probably the most commonly used expression for "I miss you". It literally means: I want to see/meet you.

You can also say "i-nakute sabishii" or just "sabishii" which literally means "without you here, I am lonely" or just "I'm lonely".

There really is not a direct translation of "I miss you" in Japanese.
