To say that the leopard never changes its spots is to deny that which makes us human and above the animal...the ability to recognize our mistakes or shortcomings and improve and move forward in life. I know for a FACT that I am a far better and different father now (with my kids being 14, 12, 10, and 5) then I was when they were 4, 6, and 8. I can also guarantee that YOU are not the same person now you were 10 years ago, and Bush is not the same person he was when he got that DUI (just like Clinton was not the same person he was when he "did not inhale" and dodged the draft, and I am sure he is different now than when he lied under oath and attacked another nation just to cover it up).
I have to agree with other answerers on here. Yes Bush has made some questionable decisions (although EVERY major democrat, with the SAME INFORMATION that Bush had available at the time, supported the war in iraq when it started - all that crap about lying is a just that, crap...congress had every piece of intelligence and interpreted it the same way) but to make up stuff like a past felon and lying to the whole world is just a desperate liberal attempt to again slander the republicans.
United we stand, divided we fall. Funny how the dems just want to divide, divide, divide. (and I used to BE a dem...stress on USED TO)

It never ceases to amaze me how people who dislike the sitting president - no matter who he is - will make up "facts" to validate their dislike of the man! Now someone is claiming that Bush was convicted of drug possession and his father covered it up...oh, PU-LEEZE!
In the first place, a felony offense precludes anyone - and I mean ANYONE - from running for the office of President of the United States.
In the second place, there's NO WAY that something like this could be "covered up," especially if the offender was sentenced to a "work release" program. It's inevitable that SOMEONE involved in the supervision of said program would spill the beans, don't you think?
In the third place, Bush hasn't committed a felony. DUI is considered a TRAFFIC OFFENSE in all 50 states, genius.
My suggestion: wake up, get a life, and get over it.

Read the laws no felon can run. As for President Bush he isn't a felon. Some people need to grow up.

President Bush is not an ex-felon.
I find the hatred of the man fascinating. I can tell you that True conservatives feel he has done very LITTLE to promote the conservative agenda. Now he's sucking up the the Democrat-controlled Congress. You guys are getting everything you want, and yet the hatred festers.
Very interesting/

His was drug related and he is an alcoholic, who is in denial!
Bush should have never been elected in the first place, and he has done nothing but tear the constitution and put the country down sink.
The rich are richer and he has made 500 millionaires off of the blood money that should have gone to Iraq! People weren't becoming millionaires in WW II! That is about the sum of his "positive" accomplishments!
And no, convicted felons should not be presidents! I though Felons could not vote! How does he get away with it?
And Bush is a felon who was convicted of Cocaine possession in Texas! His daddy got him to be put on a work program and his files have been sealed! What does that tell you?

No felony there genius. I guess you left that part out. Want to talk about felonies add 1 part Kennedy + 1 part bridge over troubled water + 1 part Mary Jo + 1 part car and there's a felony that was somehow not prosecuted.

More liberal mindless spin... Bush isn't a felon.
(If you are refering to his DUI it was considered a motor vehicle charge at the time, not a criminal charge.)
