Its been all over the news the Girls known as the Fab Five had been running the school for years, wonder who or what they did that made it no longer unacceptable. Just your opinion what ever it might be.

The mother of the ring leader was also the PRINCIPAL!!!!! No wonder they were allowed to wreck havoc. HOWEVER, if parents had complained or TEACHERS and had they forced the issue by going to the papers this could have ended LONG ago.

Why are Americans afraid of punishing thier kids. Where does it say parents have to sit and take it??

When I first heard the bits and pieces of this story, I wondered what was the big uproar about. These were just some wild and crazy cheerleaders. Then I began to hear more details and my reaction was more like, "What the hell"? How in the world were these girls allowed to get away with this behavior for years. And they must have been God awful to be compared to gang members. I thought about the little 5 year old girl in 2005 from Florida who was handcuffed, put in the back of a police car and taken to the station because she showed out in school. And here they are in Texas letting the "Fab Five" get away with this mess. I honestly believe the mother was aware of the behavior and was the reason why so many people were "afraid" to report what was going on. See what happens when you let your kids run amuck and leave them to raise themselves. If it was my daughter, she would have a well whooped a**. You go to school to learn, not to cause all of this foolishness. Telling teachers to shut up....what in the world? Think about how awful they're going to be in 5 years and the sense of entitlement they'll have.

My opinion is this, that town has some sorry adults in charge of their kids and how could all this go on with out not one parents knowledge? It seems to me that every adult in that circle must be on medication and no one is running the school or watching the kids. These same kids that are being allowed to lie and cheat are the very same kids who are going to run the country one day in some capacity and what mental attitudes and character traits are they developing? Why do adults seem to be afraid to discipline their kids?I see this as a direct result of little parental attention and guidance.

I agree with Rebel girl.. Some parents are afraid of punishing thier kids.. My child would not have gotten away with that crap for very long.

Its a shame, but so many kids are feeling like the world should bow to them, literally and have no clue on how to treat others with respect and have some dignity about themselves. Those girls should be punished in a way that rocks thier world and teaches them that they are a part of this world, they don't own it and its the PARENTS responsibility to teach them that.

They took dirty pictures of themselves and posted them on the internet...suprisingly it's not a lot different from some other cheerleaders in highschool....the only reason it made the news is because the mom was the principal.

Parents nowadays are scared of disciplining their kids. I used to babysit this girl who had every toy you could think of. Whenever she wanted a new toy she would scream about it until her mom got it for her. I don't know about you, but when I was a kid (still am kind of) and I wanted something, I earned it with good behavior and good grades.
