Wonderful! I already have tea tree oil. I have a basement apartment and in the summer months it becomes damp. I recently invested in a dehumidifier.

Try making a spray of tea tree oil and water - about a tablespoon of tea tree oil to a spray bottle of water and spray the mold. Let it dry thoroughly and then vacuum the mattress. You may need to repeat if any mold remains. Tea tree oil can be purchased at most pharmacies. Safer and less damaging than bleach.

I think you also need to consider how mold formed on the mattress as the humidity levels in your home may be really high and to prevent it from happening again, consider putting a dehumidifier in your house.
