Racism and sexism are things of the past generation. But that generation has a firm grip on the means of production today. So does that mean that the huge differences in wages is really class-based?

This is absolutely true. The Baby Boomers (the upper-middle class) have out-sourced our jobs no matter our race. They have sent all of our jobs to poor people no matter their race.

Your are wrong in one important part - racism and sexism aren't things of just the past generation, but also the present generation. Also, some would argue that the huge differences in wages is less a product of being 'class-based' and more a product of education levels. Further, there is also a correlation between education levels (average level attained) and income levels (average income levels). Unfortunately, there are correlations between education, income and race (in the US anyway). If someone tells you 'yes' or 'no', they probably don't know what they're talking about.

No...it's more UNEMPLOYMENT based....the less you work, the less you make. Most people aren't paid less because of their race or gender....that would be discrimination, and its illegal.
Same wage for the same work....how much time each person puts into it is another thing.
Women get preganant.

I know there are still companies that discriminate against black and hispanic people but they go out of their way to fake fairness so you wont know.
