Try this one...

It's called "Sad to Belong" by England Dan and John Ford Coley. It was very popular in the 70's.

Met you on a springtime day
You were mindin' your life
And I was mindin' mine, too

Lady when you looked my way
I had a strange sensation
And, darlin' that's when I knew...

That it's sad to belong to someone else
When the right one comes along,
Yes, it's sad to belong to someone else
When the right one comes along.

Oh, I wake up in the night
And I reached beside me
Hopin' you will be there

But instead I find someone
Who believed in me when I said
"I'd always care."

Oh it's sad to belong to someone else
When the right one comes along,
Yes, it's sad to belong to someone else
When the right one comes along.

So I lived my life in a dreamworld
For the rest of my days
Just you and me walkin' hand in hand
In a wishful memory
Oh, I guess that's all
That it would ever be.

Wish I had a time machine
I could make myself go back
Until the day I was born,
And I would live my life again
and rearrange it so that I'll be
Yours from now on.

Oh it's sad to belong to someone else
When the right one comes along,
Yes, it's sad to belong to someone else
When the right one comes along.

i love the tale behind the poem! it truly is extremely good yet I advise basically replacing it somewhat. no longer a lot so it rhymes yet basically so there's a rhythm. Its extremely good and it become probable in consumer-friendly words me who struggled in analyzing it each so often. i imagine it truly is extremely good and that i love how the basically accurate verse nicely even the basically accurate few lines replaced my total options of the poems completley. Its like leaving the reader on the area. I also believe it really is such as Lucie Silvas' ignore Me no longer ignore me no longer, I ask of you anyplace your life takes you to And if we by no ability meet lower back imagine of me sometimes We had basically in the destiny to remember Now all i pick is a few thing more effective than only a fading memory Left questioning what would were. isn't it a shame, that once timing's all incorrect you're doing what you by no ability meant to, there is continuously some thing that stops you. nicely i think in destiny, it had to take position this way in spite of the undeniable fact that it continuously leaves me questioning no matter if... In yet another life we may be jointly. we could continuously experience fortunate we may be able to assert... we've continuously were given the day previous And as I go away all of it behind you're nonetheless emblazoned in my options And for that very particular day no one loved me in that way ignore me no longer, I ask of you anyplace your life takes you to And if we by no ability meet lower back imagine of me sometimes She writes about someone she loves yet who doesn't extremely love her lower back anymore. and he or she hopes that they are going to nonetheless keep in options her even although they arent jointly. i love how the song enables you to imagine she would nicely be speaking about someone who has died and he or she hopes they don't ignore her in heaven or on the different hand, someone she has cut up up from in a courting. desire i have helped. I loved that poem! nicely carried out
