I think you take 5 dice the first person that rools a 500 gets on the bord. the first one to 7 thou. wins. i need more info.

You might be talking about Zilch? Where Ones are 1000 and Fives are 500 or something and you have to roll as many as possible?

Many variations- craps is generally what is meant by shooting dice.
Also, there is a betting game where you roll the dice and bet on your roll as you would in poker, for example- on the total of the rolls- watch pirates of the caribbean 2!

It depends upon the Value of Each nos. of the dice which is pre determined, and also the value of combination of dice is predetermined and a chart is prepared. this helps calculation.
