Because they played a SEC team, LSU is actually better than Florida.

Melois,
Austin is still smokin smack.
They were out played in all phases of the game except the first 18 seconds..and when OSU had that decent drive - capping it with a decent TD run.
Even the OSU Band got outplayed. The Gators played some upbeat tune....followed by the OSU band playing Titanic's "My Heart Will Go On"....giving us a visual of a ship sinking!! Did you see that? That was one of the most ironic moments.....nothing was going OSU's way and the band portrays a sinking ship.

They lost because they didn't score as many points as Florida.
Two months off
All bowl games are played in warm climates.
OSU beat Texas when they were #2, they then beat Michigan when they were #2. Anyone that says they had an easy schedule is a fool, according to those experts that rank teams.
A few years ago OSU unset Miami. It happens. Move on to next year.

The best team won last night. OSU just got outplayed.
Uhhhh....Lathario might want to rethink his statement about OSU playing weak temas all year. I see he's a Texas Shorthorn fan.

i am an osu fan, but the way we played the game, i swear they were TRYING to give them the game.we played in slow motion, and we couldnt settle down, so those personal fouls both ended in touchdowns, and after jr got hurt, everyone knew that then, we were pretty much screwed! and to those saying that other teams could have given the gators a better game, i ask, and the reason they didnt??o yeah!!!they didnt make it that far!!!!hmmm something to ponder on over there!!

Seems to me it was a lack of preparation and a case of over-confidence. Just finished watching SportsCenter and Kirk Herbstreit said OSU was very lethargic. Works for me because I was pulling for the Gators, if only for a day.

They got away from what worked for them all year and panicked when they fell behind by 10 points and decided to stupidly go for it on their own 29 yard line! Had they punted that ball and got out down by 10 at the half, they might've been abvle to reorganize. but after seeing how they got dominated by Florida's defensive speed, it still might've been a massacre.

They were overrated, they only played a couple of good teams all season, look at the schedules, Florida played the tougher schedule. Ohio State would only be a so so team if they were in the SEC.

The Ohio State Suckeyes lost because they played weak teams all year and really didnt have half the talent and speed Florida had.
