What do i do about and ugly christmas present from my boyfriends mom? she gave me this watch, and it, well, is definetly not something that i would ever wear. but.. my boyfriend said that he told her that i havent worn it yet, and that she started to cry and that she didnt feel appreciated. i mean, i dont konw if he really told her that actually - or if hes just kidding around.
but i dont know what to do, because, i dont really want to wear it. but i dont want to hurt her feelings- cause she loves me lots. n i know she meant well.
so most likely the common thing to do is wear it.. right? or should i talk to her about it? or what.. i dont know what to do....

You should wear it around her for a few times. Let her see you with it.
Think about her feelings instead of worrying about what people will think of you. Its only a watch whats the big deal?

Let her know you appreciate the gift and are waiting for a special occasion to wear it. Then wear it to her house just to visit with her.
Take her out for lunch or something and be sure to wear it at least once around her. Some people are very sensitive.

If she cried, that is way crazy. B ut still, you know moms can be emotional. The next time you guys see her, wear it. If you go over for dinner or if you guys all go out. Just keep it because it came from her heart. My man's mom has never given me anything so kudos to you! Even if it was not something you typically like. It's the thought that counts!

If it makes her happy wear it! Sometimes life is too short to upset the people that love you. After a while you wont have to wear it as much. Be grateful that she thought enough to give you something she thought you would like.

Could you 'accidentally' lose it? Otherwise explain to your boyfriend how you feel about it and ask his advice on how to deal with this mother... Good luck.
