Personally Id say Wii All The Way,
Ok The PS3 is More Powerfull and probably capably of better graphics, however i have got Zelda for my wii, Plus Call Of Duty and Red Steel, and all the graphics in these games are amazing! and as good as any 360 title i have seen or any PS3 Screenshot i have seen too,,
but Nintendo Seem to have realised that we play games for FUN,, Not Just Lush Graphics,, You could have a game that boasts the best Graphics in the world, but that doesnt mean that its any good,,
A Lot of the Wii's Games are purely about FUN!, Wii sports, Wii Play, Wario Ware!! these all look a bit silly at first but once you actually play them, you realise how much fun your all having!!
The Wii's new controll system is also a plus!! it ghives you a whole other sence of controll over the game,,
for example,
Need For Speed, Turn The Remote, to turn the wheel
Zelda, Slash The Remote to swing your sword
Call Of Duty,, Point at some one and shoot them,,,
|Thiss really makes controlling games a whoile lot easier and simpler and less buttons to master!!!
some sceptics say its just a fad and that youll soon get bored throwing yourselves about, maybe true, however you dont actually have to swing your arm everywhere if you dont want!!
if you like standing in front of the screen swinging and slashing every monster in sight then great,, do!!!
if not, then you dont have too, subtle flicks of the wrist will suffice,, meaning that whatever your personal preference, you are well looked after!!
Plus you have the opportunity to download a whole host of retro games directly onto your wii, via the internet, there are about 60 titles available at the moment from the NES, SNES, Mega Drive And N64, and more titles are added every week,,
By No means do i think that the PS3 Is A bad or Duff Machine Like XBOX, i just personally think that The Wii Is Better And Will Give Sony A run for its money,,
In America And Japan For Every 1 PS3 Sold, 3 Wii's Are Sold,, The Wii Is already sold out every where in the UK for at least another month with many retailers refusing to take anymore orders at the moment,, this just proves wii's popularity!!
another plus is the price,, a ps3 will set you back about £450 -£500, a Wii Costs £180 and comes bundled with propably one of the machines best games in Wii Sports,,
Plus Dont be surprised for a price drop on the Wii to contend with the PS3's Release!!!!
ok the ps3 has more capabilities, but its more like a pc with all its hard drives and such and most people already have a PC, and Look To consoles purely for Games,, The Wii Also Has The Important Features we look for in a console such as online access and multiplay, but keeps iot simple and fun,,
i really believe that the wii is the future of gaming and sony and microsoft are gonna take a bit of an unexpected battering from Wii
The Futures bright,, The Futures Wii
Good Luck In Your Search

I'd pick the Wii, but that's cos I've been a Nintendo kid my entire life, and the PS3 looks quite crappy. And that's not just my opinion - my sony-addicted friend also hates the thing.
The PS3 is expensive; if you want that one, then you'd be best off waiting till the price came down - knowing Sony, that'll be sometime just before the PS4 comes out. The games, while there are a lot of them, just seem to be more of the same kind of thing as the PS2. Sports, shooting, racing, Grand Theft Auto. Yawn.
The Wii, though, is cheaper. The control system is creative - and unlike the other consoles, you can move around when playing it. Playing Wii Sports is surprisingly energetic, especially with the boxing. When you get used to it, it seems impossible to play the thing any other way! There are nowhere near the same amount of games for the Wii, which is annoying. The games that there are now are good, though!
All the lawsuits against Nintendo for damages caused by losing grip of the remote... Clearly, these people were stupid. I've had mine a month and I've never been CLOSE to letting go of the thing.

I would go with Wii all the way. The price of the Ps3 and the games is a bad start, also if you wanted a powerful gaming console you don't need to spend all that on a PS3 you can buy a 360.
May be microsoft but is a great console and has loads of great titles for it.

Go with the Wii, The games are great and most of the game you dont even have to play with the Wii remote if you dont want to. I have had a Wii as it came out and have not broke anything or even let the remote leave my hand. The people they "broke" things are either really stupid or are wanting to try and sue Nintendo...well even both really.
The Wii is the cheapest and the best at the moment.

Wii because the straps only break if you dont use them properly, you can buy a lead to connect it to your hd tv, its cheaper, it comes with a game, its also great to show off (all the ps3 really has is good graphics) and it will be hard to get a ps3 in March.

it mostly depends on two things:
1 - what kind of games do you like the most
2 - what kind of tv do you have / plan to have
1 - if you like nintendo's 1st party games (mario, zelda) go for the wii, if you like more adult oriented content (sex and violence) go for the ps3.
2 - do you have a hd tv? the wii is fine since it does not support hd graphics. if you have a hd tv (or plan on getting one) the ONLY signal currently on the market that will support a full 1080p resolution is the blue ray dvd. a blue ray dvd player is $1000, so the ps3 (which also plays blue ray dvd) is a steal at $600.
I have a 1080p hd tv, an xbox, xbox 360, gamecube, ps1, ps2, and ps3. The ps3 is the best on my tv. Also blue ray dvd is totally awesome! 1080p is way better than hd dvd at 780p. Blue ray all the way!!

I'd go for the PS3 as the Wii isn't really a next generation console, it's more a 0.5 generation.
Nintendo don't seem to be either willing or able to compete with Sony and Microsoft from a technological standpoint but are trying to make up for it with gimmicky control systems.

-Do you have a lot of money to burn, like PSone games and have a PSP and access to broadband connection and HDTV, don't mind sony's pompousness and want better third party support? If you do go for the PS3. As I think it'll have better third party support down the road.
-Are you very fond of classic games and have access to broadband over a wireless connection, like gimmiky play mechanics, don't mind gamecube-like visuals on a new console? If so, go for the wii.

I'd go with the Wii...it's a lot cheaper, and I hear it's more fun. I went with the X-Box, but I think just for having some fun once in a while, the Wii's probably your best bet. If you're a hardcore gamer, then...you gotta get all three of 'em :)
