the wrestlers already know that they are going to get hit. Most will cut themselves before the match (a small cut) so when they get hit the cut breaks open and they bleed. Or they will cut themselves when they are on the ground acting hurt.

Back before the late 90s, the wrestlers would bring a small razor in the ring with them and they would cut themselves open with the razor to make themselves bleed. but starting in like 1998, they stopped doing that, and the blood u see now is them actually bleeding from being hit with a weapon, no wonder they get paid so much.

There are situations where the blood is real and when it's not. Accident's are going to happen, but in a case where it's fake, I think they use blood packet's, to smear on themselves, but Ric Flair get's cut open, very easily.

I watched how the did this years ago on a TV show. Some would pound their forehead before the match to make it tender and prone to bleed. Others would hide a tiny razor blade in their trunks and actually cut their forehead when they wiped their forehead. Others (the wimpy ones) would hide ketchup packs in their trunks and squirt the ketchup when they grabbed their "wound site".

They get a very fine bladed scalpel and make a small incision so it just breaks the skin. They put vegetable oil all over it to preserve it. Then when it gets hit it breaks open and blood spatters everywhere!!!!!!!!!

its actually real blood if they get whacked with a chair
they have small blades aswell on the edge of the rings which they use too

It is done with a blade, but they make it very obvious when they do it, watch when the hand goes to the forehead after the shot, that is when they do it.

I saw a documentary, where they secretely cut themselves with a razor blade. Don`t try this at home kids.

It's called "blading". They deliberately make a small cut, usually along their hairline where it will bleed the most.
