Most likely you'll have to take it to a body shop, or buy a new one ,or get one from the junk yard.

Usually a hood is replaced when it bent in some direction. First you need to check the hood to see if that the problem or if it the hinges. For a home fix; I would remove the hood and place on a flat surface to see if it lay correct. If, it does, check the hinges and there two adjusters at the front at each corner. Be sure they adjusted evenly; up or down. The "High" side may need screwed down. You may actually try this first, before removing the hood. Replace the hinges if they damaged as they will only mess up again if you straighten them. Regularly spray the hinges with WD-40 when the hood seem hard to close. Do this on your Doors too!
Now, if the hood is actually bent, then of course it will need straightened. As stated many replace it, because once it bent the sheet metal will be easy to bend again in the future. Not seeing the hood, I will assume it may be twisted. If, you could make something to hold the two hinge corners you could then try holding the front corners and twist the other direction. Push down on the high side and pull up on the low side and keep laying on the flat surface to check when it straight. If, you get it fairly straight and keep the hinges lubricated it may stay OK. When you close it place your hands left and right of center and halfway from center and outer corner to close, this may help from twisting it back to it's previous bad twist. This about all I know to try for an easy fix. IF, the hood needs replaced, I always say try to fix it first. IF you mess up or can not fix, you would had to buy another one anyway. AND you could get lucky and fix it. Good Luck!

Check the hood stand-offs under the hood where the hood rests on the body. They can be turned up and down...it may be that they are just not level. If the hood really is bent...going to a body shop is about your only answer besides getting a replacement hood.

i own a shop,,and if the actual hood its self is warped not the hinges,on it then you,ll have to replace the hood,,if its just a hinge warped on it you can replace them, and straiten it up,,but hoods are hard to repair,,and if it needs any filler put in it,,you,d be better off replacing it,,because filler wont stay in a hood for long, because of the heat from the engine,,good luck hope this help,s.

Hello... If the hood is warped..it needs to be bent back into place... or be replaced. Mustangs come from Ford..so you need to bring it in to a Ford dealership,so that it can be properly serviced...
