No, we never grow out of it. Narcissistic Personality Disorder? My goodness, is that what I have? I always thought I was just spoiled rotten!

i was married to this type of man, for 10 years, things had to go his way or he was packing his suitcase and leaving. my ex was 55, not a kid. finally because of disagreements that could never be resolved, he left with a woman he worked with, because financially she could do the same work as he did, they started a wallpaper business, after i divorced him, the business took a nose dive. my ex never matured, he actually kept getting more and more selfish. they claim it is a real personality disorder, think it is caused by their parents not setting any boundaries, and giving into them all of the time, at least this was the case with my ex.

Is that a real disorder? Or is it a made up, cop-out excuse for someone who is a selfish @$$?

Seriously though, here is a link that may help you or give you some new insights. Good luck.
