I'm trying to do an astrology chart, but this is my first time and I can't figure out how to convert local daylight savings time into GMT.... any help would be really appreciated.

GMT is +6 hours from CST (central standard time.) for reference.

GMT is based out of Greenwich, England. You convert to that time from a local time depending on where you are. The time zone immediately west of GMT is -1 hour. The time zone immediately east is +1 Hour, and so on.

In the case of CST, we're GMT -6.

to convert your time to GMT u'll have to know your longitude
