Around 2 years. That's a pretty reasonable estimate. That how long most of mine have lived.

I am a hamster breeder. This depends on the breed of hamster you have. i have had syrian hamsters live for 5 years there life expectancy is only 2-3. And i've had russian dwarf hamsters their life expectancy is 1-2 years at the most. Really i think it is how well you take care of them and if they stay healthy. Do you know you can give a cold to the hamsters? I've done that before accidentally and boy it wasnt pretty, lost almost and entire litter.

Typically, 2-3 years. However, they CAN live up to 5-7 yrs... I've even heard of one living to be 10! I personally knew someone who had one live for 7 years. Mine have generally lived 3-4 years.
