Friends of mine have been very good to their men, but their men still cheated on them.

because variety is the spice of life. Look not to sound like an ******, but it is not realistic to think that you can wake up next to the same person, every dya for the rest of your life. That's why I never get into a relationship, it only complicates things... And any man who says he'd never cheat is a bold face liar

Not all men are the same, and yea, for the most part the percentage lever is higher in the cheating dept., but there are still good men out there, hard to find, but out there. By the main thing I can come up with many men want someone stable (wife) and something "different" on the side. But also, keep in mind, many women (not all or most) but many women know the man is married and still continue the relationship, because they have what they want, and these men will buy them what they want, if the men want to continue getting some.

I say BS to the person that said "something is missing from their relationship."
Remember that it's not just men that cheat. I think people cheat because they don't take as much pride in who they are as they would like you to think. I think they cheat cause their insecure, selfish, self absorbed. In a relationship, it's not a secret that cheating is wrong and I do not care what excuse someone has, there is NO reason. That's where I draw the line in relationships. I believe in second chances, however I have told the person I am with "if you ever feel the need to cheat or feel like you are missing something, then don't assume your the only one feeling that way" "give me the respect to tell me so that we can both do it."
Again I think the common denominator in cheating, be it a Woman or a Man is lack of respect for themselves, for others and most of all Selfish.

A decent majority of men Won't cheat on their spouses / girlfriends unless their spouses treat them like CRAP , are abusive , are lazy / neurotic , don't take care of themselves / let themselves go , the love disappears from the relationship etc....
Your friends "SAY" they've been good to their men but who knows what happens behind closed doors...right ?
Then those who DO cheat can be men with drug, substance, sex addictions, guys who think the grass is Always better on the "other side" , those who are immature and have no sense of commitment / loyalty etc.... MANY REASONS... ! Also , some men are just simply put... DOGS !

You ask that as though every man cheats on his girl friend or wife. That just isn't so. I have never cheated on my wife, nor did my father ever cheat on my mother. My brother never did, and most of my friends never did.
You could ask the same question about women. Why do women cheat on their boyfriends or husbands? Cheating and extra marital affairs are common on both sides of the fence. But to answer your question, men AND women will cheat on their partners because its almost like a dog chasing a car. They suddenly realize they caught it and now what do they do with it? Men will do it because its a strange form of a conquest. Women will do it because the guy does something for her that no one else does.
I have seen hundreds of women that I would enjoy having sex with, but I respect my wife too much to cheat on her. I would not humiliate her like that.

first of all i agree with alot of these answers, like men want variety and something is missing in the relationship or men are insecure and have poor respect for themselves and their principals...Not all men cheat, but I strongly agree that in a moment of complete unhappiness with their spouses treatment towards them or their behaviors. Men will simple go and cheat and think later.It's difficult because sometimes women treat men so good and they ( men) take these women for granted and still cheat.Same goes for women..It's plain and simple...An all around healthy relationship is hard to build and maintain.It's like winning the lotto. It's got more to do with the individuals as a couple.My advise is to treat your love as best as possible and hope they will respect you.Hope i made myself clear here...lol..lol

Your friends are not picking good guys, plain and simple. People who cheat are weak and have little value or honor.

Just because your friends fall for the wrong guys doesn't mean we all cheat. Maybe you should be asking, "Why do my friends have such poor judgement?"

the answer is simple men are primal creatures and like many other creatures we try to spread our seed to as many plants as possible it is in our nature down to our genetic core and this will never change no matter how much we evolve
