You need to go to control panel, add/remove programs, click IE 7 and un-install.
Never ever download a new IE program when it first comes out, always wait for the beta, with the security fixes.

Go to control panel & open the Add/Remove Programs. Check the Show updates checkbox on the top of the page. In the list locate Internet Explorer 7 & then uninstall it.
After that download & Install the Internet Explorer 6.
Just make a try of using the Firefox. I think you will like it

The IE7 uninstallation goes as follows
-enable to view hidden files
(start > control panel > Folder options > View > Show hidden files and folders > apply >ok)
-click on Start > Run
type the following (ther are additional spaces after \ to make them display on this page, you can skip them while typing)
c:\ windows\ ie7\ spuninst\ spuninst.exe
press ok, Follow the on-screen instructions, after completion double-click IE to check that IE6 is working.

go to control panel>add/remove programs
remove IE7
then go to the microsoft website and search for an older version of IE
or u can google internet explorer (the version u want)
or u can download mozilla firefox
it's small (5mb) while IE7 is massive (34.7mb)
and firefox is faster when it comes to performing browser related functions
and firefox is damn (excuse my language) user-friendly

This is the most detailed uninstall for IE7 I know of.
http://www.ie-vista.com/kbase2.html
Handy, even if it is for Vista, but it has some good ideas

see IE is ok
but try and give a shot to .......
firefox....
its there on firefox.com site ....
its an amazing more compact and cleaner browser. i prefer that to IE anyday......... IE crashes so many times no complaints with firefox...
so go to that start button in bottom of ur screen and then go to control panel........ thne to add n remove programs and uninstall IE7............ however also google search for stand alone version of "IE6 " coz many windows based things like MSN messenger and rest are compatible to IE....
anyways firefox is way for u

terrible program - just delete using control panel and add/remove programs - you will go back to your base Explorer program - then download 6 somewhere ( installing 7 wiped it )
DO NOT TRY TO OVERWRITE WITH 6 this can fail ( did in my case - had to delete explorer )
OR - go to control panel - performance and maintenance and do a system restore back to the point that you loaded it
