Hey if the Oil Companies are taking over with a Puppet Government -OPEC has no control in Iraq. Some of you better realize the truth and realize you have been duped, so face reality and get over the denial of what is actually the truth.

The item in the British paper was alarming. It also explains the many errors in conducting the war: A fractious country teetering on the edge -- or embroiled in -- civil war would be more inclined to sign oil contracts with US and UK oil companies that are so favorable to foreign interests. It was "nicer" to think Bush really believed in spreading democracy than to know that oil was the reason for the war.

The foundation of the world economy is the petroleum industry. With the expansion of the Chinese and Indian economies and the increasing demand for oil our very survival depends on our ability to control resources. Anyone who can't see this or admit the truth is either naive or so blinded by ideology they can't see the truth.
Until we can develop a reliable alternate energy source that will lessen the global demand for oil, wars like the one in Iraq are going to more and more common place.
I am a conservative but I don't blindly believe what my party says, I was never fooled about why we are fighting in Iraq.

Interesting that you would be so quick to reference an article that is factually wrong in the first two or three paragraphs... One that I spotted immediately was that oil companies were nationalized in 1972. That's crazy, where did that come from?
It's seems that those who want to convince people that they are correct in their far left or right imagination will twist the facts just enough to give you the impression of truth. The justification for the almost truth is: It makes the rest of the story true.
It would be ludicrus to think we go to war for oil when Prudhoe bay and the entire N. shore of Alaska (not to mention Gull Island) has more oil in the ground that Saudi Arabia. In fact, crude on the N. Shore tapped would produce artisian pressure at about 1600 pounds and could run for twenty years none stop (we don't need it to do that but).
You chore: Does the anti-imperialism network have the facts or do I? One of my souces besides the fact that I have lived through these times is:

I can relate to this. George Bush President of the United States is a man without honor. He has spread shame on America, it's Constitution, and it's People. It is a highly embarrassing situation for every Good American. This Man has spun completely out of control and he needs to be stopped immediately. President Bush has discounted himself to nothing more then a mere "War Criminal."

Not surprising, but just fluff on the pillow. When they captured Saddam, they also seized 40 Billion US dollars. Saddam was threatening to cash in the US dollars for Eurodollars. This would have devalued the US dollar 40%...had to get that money back.
As far as Iraq, just what we need, is another puppet.

You're right. That article is nothing but lies.
We already know the real reasons - President Bush told us these reasons from October 2002 through the present, and those reasons remain true, correct and unchanged.
It is depressing that so many people have chosen to wallow in their irrational hatred of Bush and believe any outrageous lie against him. It's like a mental disease.
