I've seen from several different stories that almost all scientists fully agree with the science behind An Inconvenient Truth. I've also heard that many scientists agree with the way it was presented.

But what was with all that filler where Al Gore is walking around in love with himself. He's like "Did I do enough to save the world".

The short answer is no it isn't the truth. Yes the earths temerature is rising, but how do we know if it is man made or not? We don't. This is a link to National Geographic which shows that there was a 15 degree increase over 10 years in temperature in Greenland during the last ice age. We are pointing to a raise in temperature in some areas of 4-7 degrees over 50 years. Obviously that spike in Greenland had nothing to do with pollution, unless Wooley Mammouths and Sabertooth tigers were driving SUVs. How do we know these more moderate temperature increases are not the same kind of thing? The answer is we don't. We don't have enought information to support "An Inconvenient Truth".

Yes, our temperature is rising, but I think it has more to do with the earths temperature cycles than man made, although we make a small difference. Also the consequences are no where near what Al Gore and the others point to. We are not going to have some disaster movie scenario like the doom sayers warn of.

Think of it like Oliver Stone's movie JFK. It makes you think until you realize it's long on conspiracy and short on facts. Same with 'An Inconvenient Truth". It takes the absolute worst case scenario, which is not endorsed by many global warming believers, and presents it as fact.

No it isn't truth, it is a theory. I think we should be working on fixing these problems rather than making movies and working ourselves into hysterics about how everyone else is destroying our planet.

I think so.

When I was a kid, we thought nothing of just tossing our trash out the car window - NOBODY thought anything of it - that's just what people did. ("Somebody" will pick it up). Recycling? Unheard of at the time. (Except glass bottles - but that was because they were expensive to make - not because of the environment).

Now its taboo.
