"Drops of Jupiter" is not a love song. It is about how a girl he once loved went to the big city. More specifically, it is about what happened when she came back. She acted better than everyone and treated him "a man who is too afraid to fly so he never did land."
Tain has a much better song, but technically Savage Garden won this one.

It's all depending on your taste. I prefer Drops of Jupiter but I think that Truly Madly Deeply is a great song, too.
