What types of questions should I ask my son to prepare him to take the AR test on "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone?" Do these tests focus on characters and there development? Just deal with the plot? How involved are these questions?

I would have him focus on the climax, any problems in the book and their resolutions. They will probably ask about Voldemort and other characters. Really the best way to prepare for these test is to read and analyze the book just don't use the movie because some things are different and switched around. They might even ask about spells and who he stays with. They might ask about quidditch too and the team. If he's read the book and knows it like the back of his hand then he should do fine.

I found a link that tells teachers how to create questions for a teacher made accelerated reader quiz. this might be a good link to look at to judge what kind of questions they use and what content they quiz on. this is the best i could find. good luck.
