LOL, a daddy long leg is NOT A SPIDER. Most people are taught that during school nowdays because it's a common known fact.
They are apart of the arachnid family but are not in the SPIDER sub classification. They don't have the body parts required to be a species of spider.
They are technically a pholcidae, class arachnid.

Daddy long legs belong to the order Opiliones. They are true Arachnids, but not spiders.
They lack venom glands, spinnerets, and do not have the narrow "waist" characteristic of true spiders.
Opiliones are quite common, and also go by the name Harvestmen, and even Shepherd spiders, but like I mentioned they are not true spiders.
Most Opliliones are predatory, but they will also feed on detritus and organic materials. The ones that feed in this manner are more like scavengers than predators.
Here are some images:
This image is of a true Daddy long legs, notice that the body is made up of only one large segment!

This is an image of a spider in the family Pholcidae, sometimes called Daddy long legs spiders or cellar spiders. Notice the body has two distinct segments, this is what separates the true spiders for the Opliliones, also the fact that this spider makes webs should be a clear give-away since Opiliones do not produce silk:

Hope this helps!

It's ambiguous, it could mean a crane fly, a harvestman or a Daddy long-legs spider. It could also be a type of car, the lead singer of Woflpac or maybe just a very tall father.

Daddy long legs are a particular kind of spider. They have a small body with gigantic legs, about 2' in length. They are poisonous, but are harmless to humans because their fangs are too small and cannot go through our skin.

Daddy Long Legs is the co-founder of the band The Bloodhound Gang, which he left after their first major release, Use Your Fingers. One of his reasons to leave was that Jimmy Pop wanted to take the band into another direction, while Daddy himself wanted to keep producing old-school hip-hop. After he and his friend M.S.G. left The Bloodhound Gang, they (along with a few recruited members) formed a horrorcore group called Wolfpac in 1996. In 1998 they released their first demo tape, titled Evil Is Evil Does. A year later, they released their first extended playing album, Somethin' This Way Wicked Comes, and on January 16, 2001, they released their first full-length album, Evil Is....
In Wolfpac, Daddy Long Legs is responsible for producing, creating beats, writing lyrics, and being the main rapper. His rapping style and beats show roots of The Bloodhound Gang's former musical style. The lyrics he writes for his songs are disturbing and darkly humorous, dealing with necrophilia, gruesome murder, and so forth.
Daddy also owns his own production company Sugar Daddy Productions, to which Wolfpac and Dr. Gigglez are both signed, and now is planning on releasing a 2 disc compilation, called When There's No Room In Hell! Volume 1 featuring over 38 underground artists.
Recently, Daddy has collaborated on Insane Clown Posse's new remix album, titled Wraith: Remix Albums, by remixing two songs; "Get Ya Wicked On" and "In My Room".

Daddy longlegs is an ambiguous common name referring to several unrelated terrestrial arthropods which have in common extremely long slender legs. Its use is highly regional, so the "Daddy longlegs" of one area is completely different from another. It is common names like these which spurred development of the formal scientific classification system.

There house spiders here in australia, they are highly venemous, more so than funnell web spiders, but as there fangs are so small they cannot penetrate human skin, they have a small body and really thin legs....
