Hard to say really, perhaps it's the tight trousers and not being bald. He doesn't do a lot for me, i find him pretty irritating, but he did a photshoot for Heat dressed as Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Carribbean mode and he looked fitter that Depp which is something. That said, as it was a photo, you couldn't hear him go on about his ballbags, if you could, I'm sure the effect would have been ruined!

It's not so much his looks that are appaling - at least he dares to be original, even if his confident manner is fake (machismo does derive from insecurities). I have to absolutely loathe his accent though. He is a bit like David Beckham in sounding nothing like what he looks like - very wrong.
But anyway, as I am not a girl, nor take a fancy to men otherwise, I'm really only answering this to see what my girlfriend really things about Russell Brand :P

He is a prat, yeah. He has such a rep though perhaps they are intrigued. All that russell the muscle, as paper says, must make em think oh what the hell, have a go. Kate Moss is one example isnt she? He is a sex addict also, which is not very attractive.

Micheal S is kind of right insecure ppl are attracted to overly confident ppl. Although I like Russell Brand ne way. Because you don't like doesn't mean thats everyones opinion.. it's like me saying what do you see in your boyfriend... ppl have different desires and needs. .. Also in my opinion, im attracted to the mystery of him Id love to know about his childhood background, It seems he has had a lot of **** in the past. Also hes attractive to me, his overall style is eccentric and individual and I be ppl are secretly jealous of him! .... leave him alone and stop giving him ****. Don't judge like you wouldn't want to be. I know your question was what do ppl see in him but im also telling others of him. Russell is prob sad and unhappy behind closed doors and uses his hyperactivness as a soret of cover... which is what i do.

If you look closely,underneath that hair and beard,there is a very good looking guy and he is very intelligent and has a zany sense of humour that appeals to a lot of women.

But on a more scientific level...reseach has shown that good looking girls do in general prefer ugly boys (increases the chance of genetic diversity) The test that was undertaken was this...get three blokes one ugly fat one, one average normal one and one model...get them all the run on a treadmill for 15 mins till they are sweating...then using a swob...wipe some sweat from each bloke..putting them into different glass jars....then ask girls which one they prefer...pretty girls will go for mr ugly.... and ugly girls will go for mr pretty...dont beleive me...try it......

I've been wondering the same thng myself. He looks like he's on drugs to me and I don't find him amusing at all. If they see anything in him, it's only them who know what it is.

I suppose we all like different things thank God. Still, it is hard to see anothers point of view when it comes to thing like this. He looks like he would snap in half. I like a man who looks and feels like a man. Brand is half woman half man....eeuuuw!

hes gorgeous and really clever, knows how to use the english language, confident and really caring if you watch his older RE:brand stuff hes really compassionate whilest being really funny and a bit harsh hes just lllllooooooovvvveeeeeeelllllyyyyyy
