Blow in his mouth and if there is anything in there it will come out of his nose onto your cheek.

Well I just went throught this situation with my little one. I also use the little noses saline drops, they only help a little bit though. I'm currently using a cool mist humidifier and its working really well. I took her to her doctor and he says that all babies go through it, if you use a nasal aspirator it can hurt the lining of there nose and it can become inflammated or cause infection. My mother said to ALWAYS have a hat on them to keep their head from getting cold. So I tried it, I keep using the little noses every 3-4 hours have the humidifier all day and have a hat on her. Try it you never know if it might work for you. Good Luck

You can't give a three week old anything. Are you using a bulb syringe (to suction the nose) as well as the saline? The Syringe helps get the stuff out since he can't blow his nose. Also try a cool mist humidifier. One more thing, if he has a fever of 100.4 or more you should take him to the doctor because he is so young.

Good luck!

Keep using the saline spray/drops. Maybe put the baby in the bathroom with you while you take a hot shower; the steam helps. Use a nasal aspirator. A pediatrician will probably tell you the baby is too young to be given any medication and you'll have to ride it out. Sorry. It sucks, I know, but it will clear up eventually!

The best thing I ever found for my first child was saline spray. I would tip it into his nose and let a drop or two go in. I waited 5-10 minutes and then sucked it out with a bulb syringe. The saline moistens the congestion and makes it easy to suck out.

No medication is safe for a 3 week old baby (saline drops are not medication).

Just give him extra tummy time (in short periods) as this will help the snot drain and take him into a steamy bathroom with you. Keep him warm (consider a hat and booties). Feed often and hope this goes away soon.

The bathe trick facilitates. also try Vicks babyRub and use a vicks vaporizer. raising her mattress so her head is raised facilitates to empty her stuffy nostril. (a large towel less than the mattress does the trick) also, use saline drops and gently use a bulb syringe to help sparkling out her nostril. placed the drops in and use the syringe. All of this helps somewhat. I did all the above with my daugher. No remedy regardless of the indisputable fact that it facilitates then be somewhat more desirable comfortable.

There is a product that is similar to the saline drops but it is in a gel form...it works great. The gel holds it in place under the babies nostrils and in a few minutes it clears up...of course, you have keep re-using it if he is stuffy due to a cold. Its made up of aloe vera gel and saline. I found it a local pharmacy.

I use little nose's for my son and it works great for us. I use it almost every morning when he has a stuffy or dry nose.

Are you combining the Saline drops with the aspirator? (The lil nose sucker thing)

That works the best. We had to do that with my daughter when she was little. Her nose was always stuffed up.
