If your cycle is regular, then about 14 days after is when you might ovulate. You can start trying about 5 days before that because sperm can survive and wait for the egg to be released. so you could start trying about 9 days after the first day of your period.

You need to figure out how long your cycles are and when your next period is due. Ovulation happens about 14 days before the start of your next period. Figure out when your next period is due and count back 16 days and start having intercourse. Not all women have a 28 day cycle and not all women ovulate on day 14 of their cycle.
