Every now and then, the show topics attempt to delve into a realm of reality--beyond the fashion world. However, most of the time, the show topics center on beauty techniques and makeovers. Tyra has even mentioned that after high school, she chose the modeling profession over a higher education. Now, I don't condemn modeling, but in my opinion, Tyra is the epitome of what happens to many young women when they forsake a position/ career of substance for one of transience and superficiality. At the age of 30, she is no longer desirable--as a model, and the only things that she speak about are modeling specific. Her knowlege appears to be limited, and her show is like a cruel joke.

I agree with you, her show is so stupid that sometimes I am embarrassed for her.

Well first and foremost let me start off by saying that Tyra Banks is not at all intellectually limited. Her persona is that of a outgoing Sagitarius and if you knew the Sag you would agree. She has viewers of all races watching her show and participating in the audience as well. She has captivated many cultures and helped them become successful people in the modeling industry. Top Model is a hot show and the ratings speak for itself. She has found a way to captivate the minds of many young women whether ugly or pretty. She has transformed so many people's lives by helping them look better, feel better, and recognize that she was poor and was able to make it to the top. Remember she wasn't born with a silver spoon in her mouth and she was able to better her life by what she wanted to do. Honestly, Tyra could be still modeling because she has the shape. She has NATURAL large breast and doesn't encourage people to go under the knife like other models trying to perfect themselves. Her show is diverse and she caters to us women. Women need to know beauty tips and little secrets to make their lives easier. How dare you say that her knowledge is limited? If it was that limited her pockets wouldn't be as fat as they are and she wouldn't have millions of girls wanting to make Americas Next Top Model! You watch the show enough to know that there's nothing fake about her. Tyra will chew you up inside and out. She's far from superficial and you can tell that she loves life. Why is it that people are so jealous of beauty and feel inferior when we're rising to the top? Please rethink this and look at it from the opposite end! Instead of knocking her down lets support her and write her and encourage her to promote different topics to gear towards other realms of society. You have to remember that she's catering towards a young generation, DUH!

I disagree, but I respect your position. I on the other hand believe her show motives are to show people how to love their bodies, and give them a better sense of fashion, since that is all she knows about. I don't watch it personally because its boring and repetitive with the show topics, but I don't think its a joke. I think she is doing what she knows best, and she never once told her audience to choose modeling over higher education, but I think she had a great career and what she is doing right now business wise is great, and she is making lots of money, and she gives back to society. I think she is a great role model, I watched a special in which she took all these young girls camping and they had a fire and talked about everything, it was great how they bonded, so I don't think she is wrong or her show is a joke because she is doing what she knows best, and that is entertaining and teaching society about fashion, and accepting themselves. And I also dont' think having higher education is more important than pursing your dreams, as long as they are educated, i.e. high school diploma, they are okay. Degrees aren't for everyone, and they are not the only way you can make money. People who are billionaires are rich because they succeeded in what they are good at, i.e. bill gates, college dropout, but richest man in the world because he did what he know best. But I completely understand your point.

i agree wit u 100% tyra banks talk show sucks anyways its a waiste of time. she is a hyprocipte. and i know she had big dreams of modeling but she still should of finish college because sometimes the enetrtainment business can rob u blind nd without a education u wont make it far im glad ashanti and aaliyah finish college tyra is just a fake phoney women who just give dumb advice and buety tips

I really thing you hit the point dead on. She has discussed certain topics that aren't really interesting unless you are a part of the modelling world. The few attempts she has made to discuss real problems/topics are very few and far between and it always involves her going undercover. She isn't even really real with the guests on her show, she always has smile that spells fake all over her face and is constantly hugging everyone and may I ask how many times will her mother be a guest?

Ican't stand Tyra, she is such a phoney, and I especially dislike the fact of how she seems to make every issue on her joke of a show revolve around her, I also think she looks like a drag queen, which is okay if you are a guy, but she's not, is she???

As well as "The Next Top Model" shows are. They are giving the false image (as usual in television) that beauty makes you money and popular. What a farce! Intelligence brings you money, but you have to WORK for it, You don't need to expose ANYTHING for it.(IMHO)

What I think she is trying to be a role model but I don't think she is a role model.. Like wat U said dat to choose education over a career it's just wrong.. If U want to have a career like being a model I think she should be able to still go to college and work in Paris
