I am not sure what that is exactly. She knows that I am going back to school...is that what that is for? I guess rather than calling it "daycare expenses, books, tuition" maybe it is all lumped together? Any help with this is appreciated. Thanks!

run7days--Wow...you stink. We have four children and there is no sitting involved with taking care of four kids. This was his choice as well for me to raise our children. And Oprah may be nice, but I don't even watch TV...you sound like a man with a problem. Maybe you messed yourself over just the way he has.

You could ask your lawyer. Maintainence in this case is day to day expenses not associated directly with the raising of your child.

Depends on how long you were married and what state you are divorcing in. If he is referring to maintenance of the children, then yes, that covers daycare while you are in school and could also mean health insurance. Call your attorney and ask him specifically what he is means by this. You are paying the attorney to work FOR you. You shouldn't be confused at all about anything concerning your case!

have you ever heard of alimony? It money that you get because you want to keep living in the style to which you have become acustomed with this spouse. It keeps on coming to you until you die or remarry. Child support stops in 18 years but maintenance payments can go on forever.
