Before MTV Philippines had started, In 1993, MTV South-east Asia has started being shown as a Cable tv channel under partnership with STAR Group, Ltd which is still STAR TV at that time and on UHF Channel 23, which is still owned by AMCARA Broadcasting Network. But in 1995, the terrestrial channel was suddenly been put off-the-air and the partnership between two companies has been dissolved because of conflict of interest of both parties

After the channel had been put off-the-air, UHF Channel 23 has been carried by ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation and had been named as Studio 23. However, the launch of Studio 23 of UHF 23 have to deal with the (still active) agreement with MTV Networks Asia.

In 2001, Music Source, the joint venture between MTV Networks Asia and Nation Broadcasting Corporation (NBC), has acquired the rights to air MTV on a 24-hr terrestrial UHF Channel 41, which is handled by NBC.

After 7 years of Partnership in the Philippines, MTV Channel 41 has been put off-the-air after a Multi-year deal with All Youth Channel, Inc. following the dissolution of partnership with NBC. The channel will be replaced by MTV SEAsia service..

^ I'm eve215454 of Wikipedia... and i've wrote that.

anyway... the answer to that is NBC (Nation Broadcasting Corporation) has dissolved partnership between MTV Networks Asia, and had a new partner and the name of the company is "All Youth Channel, Inc."

But according to my sources... MTV Philippines will return eventually.

It was also the same scenario to Nick Philippines, sot joined together with Nich SEAsia.
