The SEC has been the best conference from top to bottom all season long. Florida, LSU, Auburn all in the top 10, plus Alabama, Arkansas who made big splashes during the year. The Big East would be second with Louisville, West Virginia and Rutgers all finishing pretty well this season too.The Big 10 would have to be third with OSU, Michigan and Wisconsin all ranked pretty high.

The Big Ten was exposed as an overrated conference and Ohio State as it's overrated champion. Looked like they were playing in slow motion. Couldn't deal with Florida's speed. Would have to say the SEC or Big East are the best conferences at the end of this college football season. Proved it in the bowl games.
addition** - The SEC placed 6 teams in the season ending AP poll. Enough said.

The SEC is STILL the toughest conference. They spend all season kicking the crap out of EACH OTHER, especially while ranked in the TOP 25. At least half the league was ranked in the Top 25 at one time or another, making them pretty solid despite their "losses". I, for one, would rather see a champion with a tough loss or two rather than running up a near-perfect record against inferior competition.

I'm not sure looking at the bowl winners actually tell the true story. Some of the teams that were in the bowl games were pretty weak teams and got there just on their past histories. (Such as the Fighting Irish.) Until there is a true playoff system in place, it is just one opinion against another. Glad the gators won!!!! Love the underdogs...except when my team is the fav.

SEC by leaps and bounds. We had the most teams in bowl games, won more bowl games, and had the two best teams in the nation. THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT THE SOUTH EASTERN CONFERENCE IS THE STRONGEST IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL. Anybody that disputes that is an idiot.

SEC by far. Look at LSU and Florda and what they did to Ohio State and Notre Dame! Minus Michigan losing to USC, I loved the BSC games!

i would still believe Big Ten because OSU had to wait 51 days to play their bowl game after the OSU vs. Michigan. (Note: one of the longest period of time between season ender and bowlgame.)
