Can anybody out there explain what the heck the film Revolver, starring Jason Statham is all about??

My husband and i watched this film last night and we were both left absolutly puzzled. We understood some of it, but it is the most confusing film. Hope someone can help. Many thanks :-)

It's a Guy Ritchie film, so don't expect it to make sense.

Jake Green (Jason Statham)is a hotshot con artist, rarely allowed to play in any casino because he is a winner. One night, Jake, and his brothers Billy and Joe are invited to sit in on a private game, where Jake is expected to lose this bigtime crime boss and local casino owner, Macha. Macha plays badly but always wins because people are too scared to beat him. Jake isn't afraid of Macha, and not only beats him in a quick game of chance, but takes every possible opportunity to insult him. Jake and his brothers leave the game, and Macha puts out the order for a hit on Jake. Jake ends up being protected by a pair of loan sharks, Avi and Zack, who are out to take Macha down. Guy Ritchie always makes confusing and difficult films...
