Where I live it isn't all that bad. I am afraid to find out why your view is so dark.
Better times for you, I hope!

Yes, the world is pretty much a "ghetto" but there is also a lot of good in the world. Try to good things to make the world a better place and that will make life more enjoyable and easier to "carry-on".
And by the way, the world has never been easy. There's always been wars, famine and misery. We just need to do our part to make the world more livable for our children and our children's children.

Not all the world is so called guetto.
Over the last few years because of neglect America has the worst record for poor human living conditions. as in most large cities the buildings and sorounding neighborhoods such a Detroit and newyork phily. and so on, only because of lack of funds and jobs created by the most desasturous program called north american free trade.
I was developed by spin doctors from large money grab organisations that wanted more than their fairshare, all it means is we take the jobs that Americans have ans send them to a country that has no unions or ones that have very low incomes and a lot of poverty, all the while the poor american is forced to go on wealthfair and teach his children this same way of life, iwhen you ask do we feel sad for other countries i say no, if they felt sadness for us then perhaps it would mke me change i blaim the congress for allowing this sin.
I agree with with your digust wiith the conditions of our countries but we must stop complaining and do something about it call you govenor and complain demand they get off thier duffs and do something or they will be booted out, but please dont give up it will be a hard road to travel but we can fix what ever has been created by the north american free trade act.

The world has always had its variety of problematic issues. Fortunately, I have seen many parts of the world where I would not consider it a ghetto. You can either be part of the solution or look to seek out another part of the world that has a better environment.
I do feel sad, angry, and frightened sometimes. But, I also am able to see much of the positive sides, as well.

Yes, but... there are also a lot of great things going on - modern medicine curing childhood cancers, organ transplants, virtually instantaneous global communication, weather sattelites to warn of weather disasters (can you imagine how bad Katrina would have been without them? Millions might have died instead of thousands), space travel, etc. We seem to learn about more problems on a daily basis, but you can't solve problems unless you know they exist. The world is getting worse AND better depending on who you ask, where you are, etc.

Whatever you look for you'll find. Those things have been there since time memorial, look for roses among the thorns and you will see them. Remember its their life and they can choose to do what they like with it as you do with yours I'm sure they don't make judgements about you and would you like it if they did?
