It doesn't matter when your last period was, what matters is when your next period is due. Ovulation happens about 14 days before the start of your NEXT period--figure out how long your cycles are and when your next period should start. Then count back 14 days--that's a good time to have sex to get pregnant.

I don't know how "body aware" you are, but during your fertile ovulatory window of conception, you will have a clear (like thick slippery water) vaginal discharge. If you started your last period on the 29th of Dec, and you have a regular 28 day cycle, you should start your fertile time late on the 11th or early on the 12th through the 14th.
If you're trying to conceive, I suggest you and your partner hump like bunnies during this time (I didn't mean to sound rude, but if you're trying to conceive, its quantity, not quality). I've heard that some people say you have to orgasm to conceive (the woman), NOT TRUE, I had 2 kids and left my ex before I found out what an orgasm was Also, I recommend adding 300i.u. of vit E daily to your diet the week before and during ovulation, I don't know why, but it helps.

Maybe, but you should be able to tell by your own signs whether or not you were fertile. Check your mucus, if there is any then you probably picked a good time, and the more there is the better the timing. My guess would be to try again for the next couple of nights, as am betting you peak fertile night has yet to come. For more information on when you are best able to concieve try Natural Family Planning. This method works both as birth control and also as a method for telling you when you are most fertile.

Best days - Jan 9- 12
Ok chance Jan 8- 13

I read the easiest times to get pregnant are 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after your period.

it may have been a few days early - try again tomorrow if you want to get pregnant - women ovulate between the 11 and 14 days after period starts.

Probably. You can buy tests to tell you when you are ovulating so you can know your most fertile time.
