Well is a test for the GOP big tent. Can the GOP handle a liberal thinking high profile member? I say don't worry in true political style, Arnold will do something extreme to win the conservatives over. Politically you have to give him credit.

I saw Arnie's press conference yesterday, and it generated some questions for me...
1. Who, exactly, will pay for this healthcare system?
2. How, exactly, does he plan on forcing the insurance companies to comply with mandatory coverage, even in the face of pre-existing conditions?
This is not responsible government. I'm all for a public healthcare system, as I am Canadian. But in exchange, I'm at a 43% tax rate. Ya gotta give in order to get. But the thing that has me most concerned is point #2. Insurance companies are the definition of capitalism - how does Arnie figure he can legislate that?

Yes.
I understand wanting to "help the poor," but think it through.
When you break the connection between work and reward, people react to it.
I would expect people wanting free insurance to move to California, and people not wanting to pay for others' insurance to move out. The state will go broke.
As an extreme example, Cuba has solved this "capital flight" problem by seizing private property, eliminating all dissent and forbidding people to leave!
SOCIALISM DOESN'T WORK.
