I'm worried because i am 2 days late for my period and am concerned i am pregnant. I have been reading other questions on this site and they all seem t suggest that im not because semen cannot travel through underwear. Although everything seems to suggest im safe... i have this nagging feeling becuase im late somethings wrong. Can you please help? i need to put my mind at rest. Thankyou!!!

Take a pregnancy test. It's the only way you can know for sure. If you are the paranoid about pregnancy type, make him wear a condom next time to save yourself the agony!

Well, whatever you read that said semen can't travel through underwear is wrong. Plus, that doesn't matter cuz you said he did enter you, and the pre*** can get you pregnant ( I have a 1-year-old that's proof of that) but the pill is pretty reliable, even if you don't take it at exactly the same time every day. The stress from worrying about being pregnant is probably what caused you to be late. Take a test, put your mind at ease and you'll probably get your period in a few days.

First off the cilest is a pill that is suppose to start working immediately. So this isn't your normal pill that needs to wait 30 days before having unprotected sex like someone else has stated. There is other pills that Dr's now tell you work immediately. This pill is given a lot for people who have heavy periods because it does like many others cause you to have lighter periods. There are many types of birth control that causes women to stop menstruating which is what it sounds to me. Being 3 months pregnant I think you would have some idea although has the show I didn't know I was pregnant not everyone does. To ease your mind I would suggest getting a test. Since your worried about it. Or even better call the dr who prescribed them and tell him what is going on. That way you can go in have a test done and if you need to have your birth control changed.

First, semen CAN travel through underwear. Whoever says it can't is an idiot. There is a reason why they don't make cotton condoms.

Second, it is not particularly likely that you got pregnant this way. The most likely reason you are late is because you are stressed about it. Besides, it's not like your period is going to be perfect every single month of your life.

Don't sweat it. Stay off alcohol and drugs for a couple weeks, then use a test. But I wouldn't be too stressed about it.

It is, however, possible you are pregnant. I hope this is one of those lessons learned the easy way, though. Don't screw around if you don't want a kid.

Stress and worry can upset the natural balance of life and may cause the body to go thru changes. If you are taking your birth control correctly, you should have nothing to worry about. Get your calendar out and begin to "count" your days and track your period each month, average the days each month and you will find that you will be able to pinpoint the exact day when you should begin your period The two (up to five to ten days sometimes) days may be just the beginning of a new "cycle" [and enough to make you panic]. Taking your pill during the same gap is the same as taking it the same time.

Semen *can* travel through underwear, but under these circumstances it's not likely. With no ejaculation, little penertration and some use of birth control pills you are probably ok. But anything is possible.

If you're really worried get a pregnancy test, but it's probably late from stress.

Calm down first!!! I know exactly how you feel, it is terifying! But you are going to be OK!!! I'm pretty sure you are alright if he didn't go all the way up there and he didn't *** and you ARE on the pill and you didn't even have sex! I think you are not pregnant, but if you are still worried, to the the drug store and get a pregnancy test. They are only $10 and that will tell you. If you have a planned parenthood or a pregnancy decision health center near your house, they will do it for free. Just calm down, you are going to be fine.

Sperm can travel through underwear - there's no latex barrier there to stop them, but the fact you're on birth control (even if it's not quite the same time of day) makes it unlikely that you're pregnant. You're probably just late. Give yourself a few more days and if still no period, try a urine test. You're cycle is probably just delayed because of stress.

DQ, you better get educated on the possible ways to get pregnant! There are many women who thought they could not get preggers the "first time", or in the lake swimming pool/shower/bathtub!
Semen is strong and can swim like the great white shark! They can live longer outside the penis than we like to think too, especially if they get anywhere near a "nesting enviorment", they will swim towards the "light" like thirsty people in a desert to a bottle of water! Get your test, in 72 hours you will usually know what the status is, and next time, wrap it for sure!

If you are taking the pill consistently, I don't think you're pregnant. The pill is very effective- even if you took it a little later one day. Stop worrying. The stress is the cause of your period being late. Don't worry.
