Even so its a gym you do want the job and you do want to look your best and professional. Parents feel more at ease when they see their kids handled by decently dressed and neat individuals. remember its all about impressions.
Here is what I suggest: If you are going for jeans, combine it with a nice semi formal top i.e short sleeve shirt or a nice blouse, tie your hair up if you hair if frizzy or an managable, as for shoes, how about semi formal mules or court shoes with flat soles.
I think this look shows that you are serious about the job yet not too formal (ala office) and would fit in the gym nicely.
Remeber to shake hands firmly as usually a hand shake says alot about you. Am sure you will get the job no problem !
Best of luck !

Consider that most footgear other than sneaks can do serious damage to an expensive wooden gym floor. That should put your mind at ease. Besides the jeans and a good pair of Nikes, I'd suggest a casual pullover blouse and a front-closing sweatshirt that you can slip off if that appears appropriate. Wear your hair as you would for a game of tennis. Have fun!

well since the guy said dress comfortable and some more, it's for a position in the gym, i think sneakers are okay. and a great looking tee with sleeves will be great, nothing too sexy though. good luck!

Yes, dress up! But also bring a duffel bag of active wear. This would show that you are professional, and can still be active. You should recieve respect and favor this way.

Wear nicer shoes, but take along your tennis shoes in case the "active" part comes up. Remember-first impressions are lasting impressions, so look neat and nice no matter what.

It sounds such as you already plan to positioned on all black?? i might bypass with blue flare leg denims in case you opt to bypass the denims course. severe heels will finished the look. verify your denims are long sufficient for heels.
